New Energy Coalition (NEC)
The origins of the New Energy Coalition are in the northern part of the Netherlands. This coalition brings together about 150 partners, including companies, government agencies, civil society organizations and knowledge institutions, to combine knowledge, experience, innovation and determination. Within the coalition, both young people and energy professionals are trained. In addition, it provides a platform for energy research and the implementation of concrete energy projects. With the goal of providing direction to decision makers of regional governments and institutions, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the field of Life Science and Medical Technology in the northern part of The Netherlands are banding together under the name "Life Cooperative." UMCG
The University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) is a prominent medical and scientific institution in Groningen. It is one of the largest hospitals in The Netherlands and the largest employer in the Northern Netherlands.
