Go-to places: Drinks at The Stockroom or Tales, events at Forum (rooftop) or DOT, and keeping a close eye on the agenda of Here & Now for the newest activities.

The Night Owl is always up for a night out, especially when electronic music is involved. No fancy drinks at a bar; dancing all night long in Groningen is what they crave. Money is no issue when it comes to seeing their favourite DJs.

Go-to places: Club nights at Fixy or Wolter Wolthers, parties organised by Paradigm or Kopjek, and pre-drinks at Grand Café Time Out.

The Pubcrawler loves having drinks with friends. After a few rounds, they enjoy singing a song or two. On other nights, a game of pool hits the spot. Beers, wines, and maybe a few shots. On their nights out in Groningen, the drinks keep flowing. The places don’t need to be fancy, just atmospheric. Pubcrawlers are mostly found in authentic Dutch bars.

Go-to places: A beer and a game at Belgisch Café de Pintelier, more beers or wines at Café de Oude Wacht, Café de Sigaar, or other classic 'bruine kroegen', play pool at Streetlife or Cue Action, and karaoke at the end of the night at Sing Along or The End.

The Culture Lover is driven by a passion for art, culture, and heritage. Curious and open-minded, they actively seek new perspectives and creative experiences. They follow developments in the cultural sector rather than mainstream social media trends and enjoy spending their free time exploring film, music, theatre, and visual art in Groningen. 

Go-to places: SPOT for theatre or a concert, expositions at Groninger Museum, and Noorderlicht and parties at EM2 or Het Pakhuis.

The Vintage Lover appreciates places that have carefully considered their products and atmosphere. They love thoughtful details and sustainable choices. They don’t always need to go to parties in Groningen. Watching a good movie at an arthouse cinema or seeing a play at the theatre can make for just as good (if not better) an evening.

Music and art are what the Alto lives for. Things don’t need to be picture-perfect as long as they’re authentic. They aren’t drawn to trendy new spots and prefer going a little underground. A night out in Groningen gets off to a great start when there’s rock or indie music involved.
